Rayner’s growth strategy continues as the company announced today that the Egyptian Ministry of Health has approved the following IOLs for sale in Egypt:

• C-flex Aspheric monofocal IOL range (970C) 
• Superflex Aspheric monofocal IOL range (920H)
• T-flex Aspheric Toric IOL (573T and 623T)
• Sulcoflex Pseudophakic Supplementary Aspheric IOL (653L)
  

Rayner Intraocular Lenses Limited today announces the launch of the company’s new injector, RaySert PLUS in the US market after receiving 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

RaySert® PLUS is designed for safe and effective implantation of the C-flex Aspheric IOL.
Simple and controlled IOL delivery through a wound assisted 2.2mm clear cornea mini incision.

Rayner proudly announced today that the T-flex Aspheric Toric intraocular lens (IOL) has received Chinese Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) approval and is being launched in China.

Product Approval Details

The CFDA granted regulatory approval and sale of the T-flex Aspheric Toric IOL (623T) in the following power range:

Spheres: -10.0 to +24.0 D in 0.5 D steps
Cylinders: +1.0 to +11.0 D in 0.5 D steps

Rayner announces that registration of the Sulcoflex® Aspheric has been approved by the Korean Food and Drugs Administration, and will now be available for sale in the Republic of Korea. In addition to the C-flex® and Superflex® spherical/aspheric monofocal IOLs, eye surgeons will now be able to offer patients an effective, reversible option for the resolution of post-operative myopic or hypermetropic refractive surprises.

Rayner Intraocular Lenses Limited, the pioneering manufacturer of intraocular lenses, announced today that it has received regulatory approval to sell four of the company’s IOL system packs in Ukraine.

Approval details
Rayner has been awarded a registration certificate in Ukraine to sell the monofocal C-flex^® Aspheric 970C, as well as the monofocal Superflex^® Aspheric 920H system packs. Regulatory approval was also granted for the Multifocal M-flex® 630F, in both a +3D add and a +4D.

Rayner Intraocular Lens, Ltd., the pioneering manufacturer of intraocular lenses, announced today that it has received regulatory approval for sale of its products in Mexico and Thailand.

Christopher Liu (FRCOphth), Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Sussex Eye Hospital, Brighton, UK, delivered a presentation on Rayner’s Sulcoflex® lens at the 51st Annual Meeting of the Ophthalmological Society of Taiwan on 5th December 2010.
